Kara Formanek
Business Development Specialist
Kara Formanek is a Business Development Specialist at Osterweis. In this role she manages and responds to RFPs, DDQs, RFIs, and other requests received from intermediary and institutional clients and prospects. She enjoys collaborating with others at Osterweis to ensure our clients have access to the information they need to understand our investment strategies.
Prior to joining the Osterweis Business Development team in 2020, Kara was a Marketing Communications Associate at the firm, beginning in 2013. Before joining Osterweis, she worked as a 401(k) Communication Strategist at BlackRock. Previously, Kara worked in two roles at Capital Guardian, as a Marketing Communications Coordinator and a Senior Presentation Development Associate.
Kara graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in English. Outside of work, she enjoys coaching her kids’ basketball, softball, and baseball teams.
